Don't forget to press the 'helpful' button if this review has been: This atlas contain wide variety of maps. I will enlist all properties of this book in following points.

The paper quality is very good. Its very confortable when you turn the pages. Smooth pages.

The visibility is also very good. The contrast of colours used in maps are brilliant. Atlas also contains some questions of multiple choice for competitive exams practice. The maps are really helpful. I have also pasted it in my room.

With so much properties I could not find any flaw in this product. I will revommend this atlas for map related studies.

Got 2 large sized maps along with the book.. Good atlas. Accurate maps. Had used the same item while in school. Now downloadd it again for UPSC preparation of map based questions. For fellow history optional aspirants, don't expect this to cover the historical places exhaustively.

It does have a few maps on historical sites but not complete. Overall, serves the purpose of an atlas well. I bought this as an adult reference material for me and my father retired geologist since it claimed to have all kinds of latest information on human geography, and it does look colorful with lots of maps representing lots of statistics. The core of the book, the physical and political maps, also look alright while flipping through pages. However, by happenstance, the historical maps caught my eye.

I scanned them and was really disappointed. For instance, maps show even Ghazni's empire, of all things, in special color whereas the major Tamil and Kannada empires, which essentially ruled the whole of Deccan continuously for years or more till Mughals, Marathas and Europeans overpowered them, and contributed to Indian art, literature and culture immensely, are simply clubbed as "others" with the name smacked across the general region with no special color.

This was both disappointing and enraging at the same time. Half of Indian history continues to be underrepresented. Is this what young students have to know and learn? Now, I understand that these maps are only additional information while the essence of an atlas is the physical geography, but if they commit to include human geography as well it better be balanced with credit being given where it is due. Based on this, I am now unsure if other information is represented adequately balanced or is lopsided as well.

So I give it only two stars. The most updated atlas at an affordable price for Indian school and college students. The qui questions are good. This student atlas come with 2 map India physical and political, World physical and one CD, This book is better than school atlas, bcz in this student atlas book one side political and another side physical map has given separately, which give you a better understanding of map.

Whereas in school atlas combine physical and political map has given in one map only, that become hotchpotch. The book is worth the money paid. High quality pages, accurate maps of different Indian states and India as a whole, as well as the world. My only issue is, they didn't focus on each state. They categorised them and showed maps of two three states at a time. And there are maps of only two metropolitan cities.
